The Koh Chang National Park is located in the easternmost border province of Trat. The Park consists of 52 Islands. Chang island. It is the largest of the archipelago, and the second largest island in Thailand after Phuket. Most of the island is mountainous with a diverse range of flora. It is said the Koh Chang island is covered by the most dense forest is South East Asia. 80% of the island is under the jurisdiction of the National Park Rangers, and therefore still exhibits a wealth of natural environment, such as evergreen forest,which are the habitat of several species of animals. The island provides two main areas of attraction: First the west coast already fully developed or better over developed for tourism.The second destination is the east coast with it diverse fruit plantations, such as durian, rambutan, pomelo coconut and rubber plantation. The beaches at the south of the east cost are still virgin and considered a secret treasure. Here you can find native live in small fishing villages in secluded bays and mangrove forests. Waterfalls and trecking in the dense forest is an special asset for the nature lover. The ISLAND VIEW RESORT & SPA is located at the south of the Islands east cost in Ao Salak Phet, a tranquil bay protected from the storms, whereby in contrast, especially in the summer monsoon, the west coast often not allows swimming and other activities in the sea. Ao Salak Phet once known as the sleepy little bay is now developing into one of the best kept secrets on Koh Chang. A short 50 meter walk from the parking lot at the end of the road to Rong Than Ao Salak Phet bay, brings you to The Island View Resort. Just walk out the pier and you will find yourself in another world. With 9 air-conditioned hotel style rooms, 10 holiday homes, and a professional restaurant featuring live seafood, plucked right out of the sea, you will be able to unwind from the pressures of life almost immediately. Many beautiful deserted beaches are around our resort. One only has to cast their eyes across the bay to Koh Sai Kao (white sand island) to realize nature at it’s finest. Island View Resort offers a free shuttle boat service for their guests to this pristine island. A take away picnic lunch may also be arranged so people are able to relax and enjoy this ideal beach setting as long as they wish. Other activities include Hobie cat rentals as well as instruction if needed. Free Kayaks and mountain bikes are available. Motor bikes for rent are available to discover the beautiful landscape around our resort. Dive trips and PADI courses taught by certified instructors can be arranged.

With their fleet of 12 luxury yachts bouncing between Ocean Marina in Jomtien Beach Pattaya, and Koh Chang archipelago, they offer a wide variety of options to the public. From bare-boat to skippered charters as well as International Yacht Training (IYT) courses from competent crew right up to bare-boat skipper. Day trips are organized regularly to the smaller island neighbors south of Ao Salak Phet.
